LIFE MEMBERSHIP

Sue Ludwig, lifetime member of the Miniature Goat Breeders Association of Australia Honorary life membership is MGBAA Inc's highest accolade. On the 23rd of March 2008, it was unanimously agreed by the MGBAA Inc. Committee, that it would be bestowed on Sue Ludwig, Breed Founder, in recognition of her many years of outstanding contribution to the miniature goat breed.
Sue Ludwig has been keeping and breeding goats since 1994 and entered the industry with no experience and little knowledge on them. She studied genetics and successfully completed her Associate Diploma in Applied Science (UQG).
Due to extensive experience breeding smaller companion animals, she decided to try to create a small "pet size" goat breed and created a new hobby in the process. Her list of miniature goat accomplishments is monumental. Sue Ludwig solely created, managed and operated the Miniature Goat industry in Australia for numerous years. Her contributions too many to mention, but include the following:

Officially launched the Australian Miniature Goat Club in Feb 2000.
Created and maintained a registry for Australian Miniature Goats.
Designed and Published the club newsletter from 2000 to Dec 2007.
Undertook comprehensive research into the standards set by World-wide Miniature goat organisations
Developed breed standards and a Grade system to form guidelines for the development of the miniature goat breeds in Australia.
On the 3rd of November 2003, Sue officially registered the Australian Miniature Goat Registry, with the Department of Fair Trading as a privately owned business.
Designed, Published, and maintains the Australian Miniature Goat Studbook.
Elected for President with the AMGA Inc on the 15th of April 2004.
Returned to manage the AMGR in January 2005.
Developed Show rules and score card.
Proposed the formation of the Miniature Goat Breeders Association of Australia in 2007 and was unanimously electedfor President.
In 2008, elected for Secretary of the Miniature Goat Breeders Association of Australia Inc.
Continues to encourage a love for miniature goats, a climate for service and friendly communication among fellow miniature goat enthusiasts, and continues to develop new strategies for promotion in the public arena.

The strongest trait that can be attributed to Sue Ludwig is the enthusiasm with which she meets the public. She is cheerful and enthusiastic when sharing her great wealth of knowledge and tirelessly promotes the miniature goat in her travels throughout the country.
