munchkin MINIATURE GOAT BREED

MUNCHKIN conformation similar to that of the larger breeds, with all parts of the body in balanced proportion relative to its size. They are hardy, alert animals with impeccable temperaments.



To be classified as a Munchkin at Purebred, Bucks must not exceed 60cm, Does must not exceed 57cm and animals must conform to the ideal breed standard, and have two registered minimum A Grade Munchkin parents. The Munchkin goat is usually created by crossing Kalahari and/or Boer goats with miniature goats. Any ratio of miniature to Boer / Kalahari is acceptable as long at the goat looks like a Munchkin and has ears as described.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES

IDEAL EARS should be flat along majority of length and fold downwards. Tip should sit between eye level and mid-muzzle (as pictured above).
