ALL REGISTRATION APPLICATIONS REQUIRE A WORK SHEET COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED.

Upon sale, exchange, gift, lease or other disposition of a registered animal, a transfer application must be completed and signed by the owner listed on the registration certificate. Transfer Applications may be submitted by NON MGBA members allowing the Registry to keep track of Australian Miniature Goats around Australia.

If the animal is a female and she has been running with or was bred to a buck, the seller must complete a service certificate

The original certificate together with the transfer application (& service certificate if applicable), the correct transfer fee and new photo/s are to be forwarded to the registrar to be processed.

The change of ownership of a registered animal must be lodged with the MGBA before any progeny of that registered animal will be accepted as being bred by the new owner (transferee). The Date of transfer shall coincide with the date of sale for all purposes of the register.

Transfer of Ownership require one good quality PHOTO with each application.
The animal must be clear, side on and preferably with head turned toward camera and must show whole animal including feet. Photos are for Registration Certificate and may be used in the Studbook, so poor quality shots will not be accepted. The animal must be clean, and must look well fed (in good condition).

Printed photos must have the animals name printed on the back and should be attached to the correct application. Emailed photos should be correctly named OR sent, one per email with name of goat in subject line.

 

 

 


 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Both the transferor and the transferee shall be responsible to confirm that the identification and height of the animal being transferred is in accordance with the certificate of registration before the animal is delivered or consigned to the transferee. Should any discrepancies be found on the certificate please contact the Registry with any enquiries and to update records, after confirming that the Registration Papers are for the animal you are looking at, or have purchased.

Please Note: It is not the role of the Registry to become involved in disputes between Buyer and Seller. The MGBA will not licence, endorse, guarantee or recommend and particular breeder or their animal/s and is not responsible for the actions of the breeders listed. Disputes between buyer and seller are a private affair and are handled under common law. The MGBA strongly recommends that all advertisements comply with Fair Trading Legislation and that purchasers do their homework and check registration/s of the animal/s they are purchasing.
