LEASE NOTIFICATION
To register a lease agreement a person must be a current financial member of the MGBA.
Upon Lease of a registered animal, a Lease Notification Form must be submitted to the Registry.
Forms need to be filled out, signed and returned to the office with details of any restrictions in place on leased animals. A copy of any signed lease agreements privately agreed to between Lessor and Lessee may be attached.
If the animal is a female and she has been running with or was bred to a buck, the lessor must complete a service certificate and supply to the leasee.
Both the Lessor and the Lessee shall be responsible to confirm that the identification and height of the animal being Leased is in accordance with the certificate of registration before the animal is delivered.
TERMINATION OF LEASE
A lease notification will end automatically on the date listed on the form unless a new form has been submitted.
If you require early termination of a lease notification the owner must submit a early termination form.
Please Note: It is not the role of the Registry to become involved in disputes between Lessee and lessor. The MGBA will not licence, endorse, guarantee or recommend and particular breeder or their animal/s and is not responsible for the actions of the breeders listed. Disputes between lessee and lessor are a private affair and are handled under common law. The MGBA strongly recommends that all advertisements comply with Fair Trading Legislation and that Breeders Leasing animals do their homework and check registration/s of the animal/s they are using for breeding. The MGBA advises that the owner of the animal has a private lease agreement with lease details signed by a Lessor.
